Ah--you misunderstand me. When I say "edit" I mean I'll hit the edit-post button, copy-paste in my section of story (which IS first draft) while removing my earlier comments.

That way, I have 24 hours to get my piece up without being pre-empted by someone speedier on the button (actually, I'm down to about 7), also two of us don't unwittingly write the same next section...

Yeppers, when the whole shebang is finished, I'm morally certain it will need editing in the more traditional sense. :D

Got ya. So, if you want the next section just put a "placeholder" post up in the story and you will then go back and take out that "placeholder" after the story has been posted? Right?

Drgn--there aren't really any word limits or minimums, just write the next however-much feels natural to write, while leaving room for the person in line behind you to do something interesting with it, too. :)
