Writing Groups?

Does anybody know of any good Screenwriting/TV Writing groups in L.A. that are open to new members? Just moved here and I'm trying to find a group to do peer critique, etc. with.

How are the LA writers' groups via Meetup? I attend the NYC group monthly (it's every 2-3 weeks) and it's a fantastic way to beat a first draft into shape, or network, or just talk movies. I also did one via Yahoo which didn't work out so good.

The ones in LA are a lot of newbies. If you want really good feedback you have to get into a private group.
