All,

Once again everyone, thank you for the contributions to the Hollis Brown thread. I've compiled what you've done so far here and will begin laying out the PDF today and tonight.

However, I'd like to offer one last opportunity for submissions and alibis right ere, right now. You have until Friday. I'm looking for something to put as the last poem -- a wrap-up, if you will. Will it be yours? Submit it here before Friday afternoon, 1 p.m. EDT.

You can submit in the original thread, here. Or you can reply to this thread with your final works of Hollis Brown.

Again, MANY thanks!

Jason

OK, just for fun -

A FITTING END
Here lies Hollis...
Brown no more
Now moldy gray ;)

He passed by them once
As they played in the square
Rolling their hoops
Braiding their hair

With a tug on the reins
And a quirky little sneer
He reared up his horse
The one they called Fear.

The boom of his bellow
Made the sisters take heed
Sarah said she shook
Sally said she peed.

Only the sexton saw it
And he didn't tell no one.
'Cause folks might have a problem
With what Pastor Jackson done.

He'd popped his buttons open
And he'd pulled his 'business' out.
And he'd pissed upon the fresh dug grave
And that weren't quite 'devout.'

But, the pastor was a good man;
Never one to misbehave.
So the sexton just ignored the fact
He'd pissed upon Brown's grave.
