Amazon changes

Hmm! Just went to Amazon and noticed their format has changed. Take a look. The cover photos are REALLY BIG now and on the right, and the "recently viewed" stuff appears on book pages, and... I don't know. Everything just looks sort of big and clunky to me now. What do you think?

Yes, BIG. I read something on the boards recently about a merger. Perhaps it has to do with that. New look? New management? It will take some getting use to.

They seem to be testing this new big cover thing. It's been turning on late at night for a couple days now only to go away again in the morning.

I just checked and they're all back to the way before.

There are going to be other changes as well--more ways for individual customization, (more data for Amazon to track!) as well as a few new services.

ACK! The first thing I see on Amazon is a banner ad for home defibrillators. Now THAT is scary.

Either I'm the most unobservant person in the world, or I'm not getting the changes.

Nope. No changes here either. I guess they're turning it on or off, or may have be testing it only in some geographical areas or something.
