If you have something up in Share Your Work, in the Horror Sub-forum (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=70), post a link here for the horror room inhabitants to find it!
If you're writing a story for the weekly prompt, and want feedback...DITTO!!!
Happy Writing, folks. Let's start getting those words on paper so we can get some subs out on the market!

New member Velma has posted a story (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?p=172869#post172869), and asked for some feedback, ya'll.
She says "brutal" is okay. <eg>

I posted my story for the first prompt here (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showpost.php?p=178114&postcount=1).
I think I did this right. Anyway, it's in the horror section of SYW. :)

You rock, Joanne! That's fabulous...I believe you are the first to get a prompt story up in SYW--which makes me feel quite inspired!
Now I must go and read it. <g>

Thanks Mac. I'm not at all sure it's horror, but I posted it there since it was the prompt from the horror thread. Maybe more humor, or mystery. Actually, I have no idea where it belongs. :)

More from The Watcher (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?p=179641#post179641)
I keep fighting tooth and nail with my internal editor, which is why this scene took awhile to get written. I wasn't sure exactly -how- I wanted this scene to show. I'm at least somewhat satisfied with the results, though.
Now, I can move on..... :faint:

Okay drgnlvr. I'm off to look at yours. Don't know if my prompt story is actually horror, but feel free to rip it apart. That goes for anyone here. :)

Incomplete scene from "Shadows" (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11791)
One suggestion I've gotten would be to change, or clarify the POV in this scene.
Any other suggestions, as well?
Andrea needs to be introduced, as she's going to be important in a supporting role. This is also the "lead-in" for the introduction of another character, who is also intergal to the story (The Psychiatrist, who just happens to use rather unconventional methods for healing).
*Yes Mac, I know you suggested I just outline the scene for now, but an outline is not going to help me much, if I have no direction for the silly darn thing. :wag:

Er.... *digs toe into the dirt, and looks profoundly uncomfortable*
I rewrote that incomplete scene, and added a scene just before it.
Here. Any crits are welcome. (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?p=181986#post181986)

I posted my Black Wedding story from the Idol contest because I would like to get around to peddling it for some cash if at all possible! Or maybe just a pub cred. Either would do nicely. I know my grammer and technical stuff is pretty frightening, so help is most appreciated! Rock on fellow horror fans! :Guitar:

800 last week, the rest this weekend. (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?p=235414#post235414)
I figure the scene with Andrea in the apartment was pretty useless, so I tried going this way. Tell me what you think?
Yeah, I know there's not alot of action, and alot of "talking heads", but at least there's hope for this in editing, right? Right?

I'm resurrecting this thread for old time sake. ;)
Just thought I'd share some old dusty manuscripts.
Reunion (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showpost.php?p=834978&postcount=1) is a flash fiction I'd really like to get submitted. Any crits, comments and suggestions for submission will be greatly appreciated.
I posted the first scene from my novel Frenzy there yesterday. Take a crack at it and pepper me with feedback, please!

JD,
I tried to go read your story, but it stated that I needed a password. Do I have to have 50 posts before I'm allowed entry??

Naw--the password on the forum is: vista
It's done that way to protect e-rights, so that googlebots can't crawl the forum and cache pages.

I have a short story called The Phantom House (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?p=989015#post989015) posted at SYW. It's less than a 1,000 words, if someone would be kind of enough to give me some feedback on it. Thanks!
