Well, my first cup of water and bite of popcorn was very refreshing (over in the Newbie Forum (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108445)), and thank you to those who offered it to me in my first couple of posts here.

Here's my blog: http://nickib.tumblr.com

So now it's time for the scary part, asking for a blog (http://nickib.tumblr.com) review! Based upon the tips in the sticky post for this sub-forum, I'll outline what I'm looking for:

How is the overall/design layout of the main page? (i.e. what are your first thoughts when opening it)
Did I make any huge grammar/spelling mistakes? (yes, even native English writers are subject to such things)
Is the content interesting? Which subject matter do you find more relevant/worthy of being read?I'm leaving it at this... but anything else that comes to mind, feel free to mention (and don't feel obligated to even answer the above suggestions, I appreciate all constructive feedback).

Thanks so much to everyone in advance!

It looks like it requires a fairly wide screen to display properly, like maybe 1000 wide? At a narrow setting the right colum overlaps the pictures and a large white space appears just below the banner.

Other than that it seemed structurally okay. However I didn't feel like I know what the blog was 'about' or why it might interest me. Perhaps a short slogan or description would help?

Thank you for your feedback :) I'll have to start learning some more CSS to test it out until I get it at just the right settings....
Now for the difficult part, trying to place my blog in some sort of categorization...

Hey! I like the layout & yeah, it doesn't seem quite clear what the blog is about...

At first I thought: yeah, Art & Design, & Living Green, but then there's a whole bunch of stuff, like the entry on OC Musicians etc lol - maybe you need to split things in different blogs? (like 'Orange County ROCKS' for OC-posts & 'Green Design' or 'Arts & Design with a Touch of Green' or so...) - Or find an underlying theme & link it together? (eg write what the OC artists are doing that is green & what kind of design they like-? ;))
Or just have a more all-encompassing blog title?

Having a bunch of unrelated tidbits seems okay for a personal blog, apparently it's better to stick to 'designated topic' in a 'pro' blog... (or so I read.. :))

/Also, posts on internet addiction & such 'sins' do befit a personal blog, it might be better to leave 'em off a 'pro' blog, probably... especially a 'green' pro blog lolz - & yes I've been guilty of them too!! :)/

Good luck with it all!! :)
