I posted this in the share your work section too- but that section seems kinda slow right now.
I followed the directions per the sticky on how to copy/paste from an HTML document to neatly post in a thread. But whenever I try this I lose my right side margins- so my lines go on and on and on to the right. How do I remedy this? I would like to get some feedback on what I have thus far.

Ooo. I never post from an HTML document... what word processing software do you use?

IsItFunny, try copy/pasting text from your browser into Notepad, and then copy/pasting from Notepad into the forum message editor (and select the Preview Post button so you can see how it looks). Sometimes laundering text through Notepad can give you a cleaner, more post-able version.
OFG, just FYI, if you browse an HTML file then you can copy/paste text from your browser and it retains its formatting, this is a handy way to post script pages (often text export from screenwriting software isn't as neat).

Can you save the .doc in HTML format? If so, try it that way. Save, then copy and paste.
(Thanks, Derek... I learned something today! :))

Save it as an actual text file. Then open it in notebook, copy paste and the format will copy over.

What about Mac? I had the darndest time posting from celtx because I use Mac, and Pages (Mac version of Word) didn't work and textEdit didn't work. I'm actually bilingual and have several scripts in ScenewriterPro on the PC side, but I copy/pasted from Wordpad and that didn't cut the right margin properly either. Oh well I'll have to practice more....

How about exporting text files from Celtx and from ScreenwriterPro and emailing them to me (without editing them) so I can see what they look like? dpaterson57 at gmail.com
