It's a blog intended to approach language and culture issues that can deepen, and feature in, stories. Since I write science fiction and fantasy, I approach it from that direction, but I'd be happy to address questions from non-genre writers as well. The basis for the material is my experience in academia and my experience living overseas in Japan and France.

I appreciate the comments, and I've tried to put up a few links; I'll continue to add as I come up with things. I'm not sure where else on line to find similar discussions, but I keep looking.
