I started the blog for fun, and as an outlet for daily writing exercises. Now that I've poked around this forum a little, and am slowly starting to take myself more seriously as a writer, I'd love some opinions on the blog, some advice on how to make it better, and some tips on how to give it some more exposure.

I do own the URL for http://www.beingblock.com - would it be better to direct it to a custom domain? Not sure how to do that.

Thanks!

Not bad. You have a great sense of humor so it's kind of fun to read your posts. I can't think of much right now that you can do to improve it, but I'll let you know if I do. Care to review my blog?

Thanks so much for taking the time to review my blog! When I first started writing, I never intented to be funny, but apparently humor and sarcasm work well for me, so now it is one of my most coveted compliments.

I ventured to your blog. I love blogs that post open questions, or challenge your brain. As for House, love him. I know he's not supposed to be a likable character, but the sarcasm is right up my alley and I would love to spend some time drinking with him. My only complaint about the show itself is that he portrays an American...the British accent is way hot. Sorry for that tangent. I would much rather create an interesting, memorable character than a likable one. I have the beginnings of a novel in the works where the character will most likely be very unlikeable, but it is a story I want to tell.

Also very impressed by your 800 word a day challenge. I've never really kept track of how many words I write. I think I might start.

Thanks. Yeah, I love House's sarcasm. It's one of the things that keeps me watching the show. As for my 800 word a day challenge, that was a way to try to give myself a kick in the butt to finish my novel.

At some narrower widths (that some readers do use) your text runs over the graphic to the left. You can direct the blog to apear under your domain using blogger's publishing options.

I love your background art...visually appealing. I love how you can layout photos six at a time in a smaller space so I don't have to scroll down to forever. Enjoyed your post about spouses sleeping (or not) together.

The only thing that struck me is that the background art seems to have an Asian/fantasy feel but the rest of the blog has a psychedelic feel. Not that it's bad, but maybe not as cohesive as you'd want...?
