Today the Large Hadron Collider is officially operational, with scientists circulating the first particle beams!
Now I love physics, although I'm more of an amateur observer--I'm studying math instead. :D However, lately the LHC has been making more mainstream news, and trying to explain the LHC to my friends can be either very entertaining or very frustrating.
Then I found the Large Hadron Rap (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j50ZssEojtM). It's by Katherine McAlpine, a science writer who works at CERN, and it's amazing! It reminds me of those music videos at the end of episodes of Bill Nye the Science Guy.
