I see lots of new magazines popping up aimed at different writers but I haven't seen any devoted soley to children's writing and publication. Is there such a magazine yet?

I forgot about one that I get! It's "Children's Writer." Check childrenswriter.com It's from the Institute for Children's Literature.

Go to www.write4kids.com. For something like $29 (per year) you can get a print newsletter each month. There's also the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Go to www.scbwi.org. Both even have writer's forums. Also, The Writer magazine has more articles for people who write for children than other mags. They have a web site, too, and have been around since the turn of the last century.
