Alrighty There People!
I've recently started a new blog to showcase the amazing photographic capabilities of the Nokia N95 - that's right, a phone.
I think that with the advancement of technology, it won't be long before we see professional photographers using mobile phones to complete their work.
At this moment in time, I am nowhere near being at pro level - I just enjoy taking snaps with my phone.
Anyway, the blog is http://www.n95photography.blogspot.com - let me know what you think :)
Cheers!

Hiya, Mark! Cool on the blog... but I'm gonna move this thread to the 'Blog' forum. Hang on tight!

I know you are only trying to protect your content, but that watermarked copyright symbol and website on every frigging photo was a total turn-off.
I know, using that technique is a tradeoff.
Con: Turn-off perhaps 10% - 50% of your readers.
Pro: Umm ... None really?
Let's imagine that the worst case scenario happens and someone uses your photo on another blog or site. Will that ruin the income from the google-ads?
So why do it?
Let's be honest - National Geographic have award winning incredible photos on their site, and rather than slather a copyright warning over them (to prevent them being enjoyed) they have a 'download this now' link which gives you the photo with a discrete title at the bottom.
If this site is meant to be an 'quick' and 'enjoyable' way to share photos, why use an intrusive scheme that is neither, when the large companies who are protecting something much more valuable don't do it?

Thanks Mac, never really thought of that before. I guess I just thought that people may download, print and frame - and I'd rather they requested originals to print from me. Then I'd charge them a few pence for the privilege :)
But I see where you are coming from.

Mark, are you looking for feedback on your blog? If so, I'll move it to the Blog Reviews subforum. If you're announcing your blog, I'll merge it into the AW Blogs thread. Please let me know. :)
The focussing is slightly off in a couple of shots, but overall I think you've done a good job with the blog and the quality of some of the pics is very good considering they were taken on a phone. The watermark didn't bother me at all.
I specifically bought a phone without a camera last time round as I sometimes visit places where they're not welcome, but looking at the quality of some of those pics, I'm tempted to get one with a camera when I come to renew.
Cheers,
Rob

Wow, amazing colors. I'll admit to not reading (it's too early for me) but an interesting idea.
You might play with the 'format'. Personal set up to shot / Img / Technical set up for shot.
Good luck

Alright, I'm heading to bed, and you're getting reviews/commentary on what to improve, so I'm moving this to the AW Blog Reviews subforum. :)
And you can post an announcement of the blog in the AW Blogs thread (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22139) if you like. :)
