William,
I think we finalists should have taken a nap today so we could be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed in the wee hours of the morning.
Week 1 results were posted at 3:52 am
Week 2 results were posted at 4:20 am
I'm setting my alarm for 5:00 :D

It's nice being on the West Coast--because that stuff is posted and waiting for me when I wake up.
I've been trying to be all cool and zen about my chances this week, but I can't help but being a paranoid ball of nerves. *chews fingers*
I need a beer. Several. This is worse than last week when I was waiting for my Shakespeare grade....

Pepper, Melina is on the West Coast as well. Go tap on her door and tell her it's 10 on the East Coast, will ya? :D

Just checking in...I'm here waiting with everyone else. I'm watching the movie The Matrix, drinking wine and very glad I took a nap today. I am not, however, waiting up until 4am, or 3am my time, to wait for the results. I'd be super cranky at work tomorrow.

What you should do is exchange phone numbers and then set up shifts. As soon as the results are posted, do a call chain. William calls Truman, Truman calls Pepper, Pepper calls Firehorse, and so on.
I'd hang with you guys and wait this week, but I just made some promises to my writing group. Must go work on fulfilling them.

Melina, we love you. We really do! We know it's Mother's Day and at this very moment you're probably lounging at a really terrific restaurant savoring that tasty dessert as we all sit in the auditorium chomping at our bits. :D We need a smilie with much bigger teeth. (sorry William) So in your spare time after you’ve tallied all the votes, do you think you could hunt down a bit chomping smilie for next week.
Seriously, Melina, I hope you had a wonderful day.
We’re patient folks.

how about, after somebody offers an "if" excuse (like, er... "if he woulda said one more word, i woulda punched him in the mouth"), you reply with, "yeah, well if my uncle had tits, he'd be my aunt."

The past few weeks, I've waited until the morning (well, more like wake up in the middle of the night) to check. This week, I'm swamped with work, so I have a legitimate reason to stay wide awaaaaaaaa :sleepy:
I should be more nervous than I am. I don't have a good feeling about this. But the universe is helping me out, giving me so many other things to worry about that I'm able to displace my anxieties.
My dream job is only accepting application online. I have been writing and revising my cover letter for days, fine-tuning my resume, choosing three writing samples, preparing to upload it so the headhunter can see it first thing Monday morning and... something's wrong with the servere, and I can't upload my application.
Okay, now off for a smoke and the commentary track on 12 Monkeys. I'll see you guys in a little bit.
Just a thought: finalists, do you have MSN? We could have a group chat while we wait. Check my profile for my Hotmail username.
For your entertainment, meanwhile, here's the Babel translation of the above message:
I in the morning waited for the weeks last until the control (good,
according to the waked up thing more wide until the way to the night).
This week, inundated with the work, therefore I have a transformation
relation those legitimates to remain on waked up for above inside
ignited with the distant excess absentee of or Tendri'a to be like
more nervous, I am. I do not have sensitivity that I finish more in
this subject. But the universe repairs it and ulteriorly gives other
things me to the interest in this subject, because I mean that the
movement of the interests can. The soñador of the mine of the work
only receives to decree of the application to align itself. I put
letters of the average and the writing of the company during the days
amanece and the extremity had attributed age my summary and I selected
a description of the three champions, ingualmente downloaden the red
one of the tape therefore to him, of who the track of the hunter he
whom Monday of latta one in the morning and... with this servere in
the first place more considers something to erroneamente and I cannot
downloaden the application of the mine. Well, it loads for her is the
function excluded for a tobacco and the track of 12 commentary the
Fallhammern. Small I v to the internal types.

Look, William, I told you after the fifteenth call yesterday that I'd had enough of your threats. Once you decide to clean up your act, then maybe --just MAYBE-- I'll have you unblocked.

You guys know Melina works nights, don't you? Or she did. She accepted a new job. I don't know when it starts, though. I'd have to go back and read through the Weekend Progress Report in the Humor Forum and as I hope to be on my way to bed soon, I'm not planning on doing that. Just thought I'd let you guys know she's had some schedule-altering changes and it's just possible her internal clock is still adjusting and maybe possible perhaps she didn't even realize that it was Sunday, the day of the Idol deadline. She could be blissfully unaware that her mailbox is full of all the last minute votes that are in need of counting and you guys are sitting here waiting for the results so you know which seven of you have to focus on next week's challenge. If this is the case, it could be a long wait. Or maybe I'm only making all this up to play mindgames because, well, I do enjoy doing that to you guys about this time every round, don't I? :)

I'm not so concerned for Ruffles as I am for my mother: your streams and streams of invective have led her to get her thumbs stuck in her ears.
At least, I think it was because of your swearing. Not sure, though -- each time I asked her, all she'd say was Huh? What? My thumbs are stuck in my ears!
****er.

Okay, I just had an "AW moment," which is when you forget you're on the AW forums and are not supposed to have beverages in the vicinity. I took a sip of my water, read your post, and pffffffffsnortgigglegaspgasp... do you know how hard it was to keep that water in my mouth?
Do you remember the Ernie and Bert skit with the banana in the ear?
trumancoyote

Hahah! "Ernie, you've got a banana in your ear!"
I haven't seen Sesame Street in forever XD
And Jenna: pffffffffsnortgigglegaspgasp is the best onomatopoeia I've read all week.
Ahhh... I love a good onomatopoeic expression :)
