I figure this might be a good place to ask, what with all the other techy people running around. :D

I'm looking for a good tech news source. I've kind of been out of the tech world since my parents killed their computer shop. I've kind of google searched, but, I dunno, it seems kind overwhelming. I don't really know where to start.

I'm looking for something that's not super uber leet tech geek level. But I'm hardly a noob. Something that's kind of intermediate level. Nothing written in binary. ;-) And I'm mainly interested in software news.

What can you recommend for me?

Thanks! :LilLove:

Here are a few that cover several topics:

Wired News (http://www.wired.com/)
BBC News - Technology (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/default.stm)
New Scientist - Technology news (http://www.newscientist.com/section/tech)

Edit to add:

Yahoo! Software News (http://news.yahoo.com/i/1209)

I suspect Wired News might be the best place to start; following their links for a week or two will likely help you find exactly what you're looking for.

The links provided so far are VERY good and useful places.

The question I have is, what industry? What side of the tech world are you looking at? There are some interesting industry specific places for telephones, education, fiber....
