In the tradition of the Sci-Fi/Fantasy First Line Game, and the Horror First Line Game, I present to you, ladies and sandwiches, and everything in between, the INTERSTITIAL FIRST LINE GAME!
Goal: Post one, single solitary line - the first of your potential story - and make sure that line is both compelling as a work of craftsmanship that drives the reader forward to the (frustratingly absent) second line. Make sure this line is absolutely, positutely, clear on what kind of story one is about to ingest (where it only completed other than in Morpheus' library...)
Example:
"Grigor Samsa awoke one morning to discover he had turned into John Malkovich, a famous thespian."
Play as often as you like.
