Content sites for Non US people?

I have been looking at suite101, examiner and DS. Suite101 is the only site open to residents outside USA.

Examiner and Demand Studio pay only to US residents. Actually Demand Studio pays partially to outside residents.

Does anyone know of other content sites that pay same rates outside USA?

I've seen a lot of non-US writers on oDesk and eLance. Perhaps you can check those places to find work. If you know english and another language, and can write well enough in both, perhaps you can pick up a translation gig?

Thanks cnbrath, I never heard of those two sites, so I will check them out.

I do know couple of other languages, but doubt it would work though because they are not the most commonly used.

I live in UK, so still using English, just can't paid for it on some sites due to US tax laws etc.

You can work for Examiner if you're outside the US--I am--but you've got to be a US citizen. I think it's because they do his "criminal check." It only took a few days, so they must be running one's social security number through some kind of computer check.

I do have a U.S. bank account, but I'm not sure if that mattered or not. They pay via PayPal.

There's a Europe Examiner too, who must be a US citizen. Also an American in France.

AFAIK you don't have to be a U.S. citizen, but you are required to have a social security number. That applies to legal permanent residents, too ("green card holders"). Not sure about work visa holders who might also be eligible.
