So I was trying to think of a name for the rebel group in my WIP this evening, using a thesaurus, google, etc. And then I found a word that has the PERFECT connotation for these rebels: Forsworn, those who broke an oath.

As usual, I did a google check to make sure that it didn't have any weird connotations/other uses. And apparently Christopher Paolini used the same word in his books. My book is not fantasy, has nothing to do with dragons, and isn't even for the same audience (still YA, but older YA).

Ugh. Is this a big problem? I was SO happy with the name and it's meaning, and now I'm pretty wary about using it.

Shakespeare used it as well, its a perfectly usable word.
