Try reading this post I made here in this forum a few years ago. In this post I quoted a creative executive who explained his own experiences at PitchFest--but not as a screenwriter at PitchFest, as a creative executive there. So here you can get an inside glimpse into the mind of an exeuctive while he's eye-balling you rfom across the table at PitchFest.

I attended two similar events, Screenwriters' Expo and Final Draft's Take a Meeting. I've also expounded their benefits on these pages - bottom line, it can be wonderful sales practice but it may turn out to be little more than Fantasy Camp for screenwriters. Who knows?
If you go, bring lots of copies of: A. your one sheet (a listing on one page - duh - of all your loglines), and B. the treatment of each script you're pitching. It will be fast paced so realistically focus on pitching your tightest and most commercial script, and have several ready to go. And if you do not live in LA, spring for the car rental and give yourself some flexibility to get around town.
Good luck and have fun!
