The Medill New Media Publishing Project class at Northwestern is taught by both journalism and computer science and engineering faculty. In the class, students are divided into teams, of both journalism and computer science students, to create Web applications that are needed for gathering and consuming news.
Some of it is just new tools ls for journalists. Some are tools providing new ways of producing journalism. (Like Twitter based newsfeeds.)
