Hey everyone,

First, I am greatful for the wealth of information and support this forum offers.

I am currently seeking to build links to my website by distributing articles to various websites and services and I am writing to get some feedback on the various options for article distribution.

While I realise this involves submitting to various directories, the practice of article distribution is new to me. With this in mind, I had a few questions:

1. I noticed several websites do this for a fee. Is there a service anyone here would recommend? If so, is there an option to pay per month versus paying per article?

2. As an alternative, can anyone recommend programs or software which automatically serve this same function?

Any advice would be appreciated and thanks again for your assistance.

Best,

Chris

I'm not all that experienced in article directory submissions, but I just wanted to say that Associated Content has been good for getting traffic to my blog. I wrote an article there with a link to my blog, got paid a nominal fee for it ($8), and then submitted the article to an article directory. The article directory site barely gets me any traffic, but that Associated Content article is where about a fifth of my traffic comes from.

What's an article directory? I don't think I've heard of that one.

Denise, I'm willing to bet that you do. (But don't expect money from me if I'm wrong; I can only afford to bet monopoly money. LOL)

Two examples of article directories are Ezine Articles (EzineArticles.com) and Articles Base (http://www.articlesbase.com).

I would probably recommend isnare.com as a paid distribution service, but it can be a little slow (2 or 3 weeks). ArticleMarketer.com is also pretty good, but it only lets you write under one pen name.
