I just installed it, and I love it.
The menu system is logical and flexible.
Almost all of the configuration dialogs and menus are more readable.
All right, so I've been more theres and done more thats, to me it's just another piece of software, but -- damn, it's good.
I still don't like (or have) Vista ;)

Vista - BLECH!
I hate Vista.
Office 2007 is good, though. That, I like. :)

I like 2K7. I like the slider bar in the bottom right corner, and the menu layout.
That said, it's been a bit of a pain regionally for me. Over the last year or so schools and offices have been adding it at varying rates, and not understanding the whole "docx" thing. I can preach compatibility pack until I'm blue in the face, but they won't listen until the get the email with the "docx" attachment and can't open it.

I have that problem with my editors - I have to save as RTF, or go in and change it to .doc (which, of course, I never remember to do!)

I dislike word 2007 because I have trouble finding things that I liked to use in word 2003. I'm slowly finding bits and pieces of things, but I just wish they kept the same format as 2003 but just added updates.
I save everything as .doc because I have the only comp in the house with 2007 and I just don't want any trouble with it.
Vista doesn't really bother me though, just word 2007

Any problems opening older Word files when moving to 2007?
I'm looking at having to upgrade my computer later this year, which will require the updated OS and Office to match, so I'm worrying about what I might run into.

Oh dear no. It's very nice about that. Even saves files in backward-compliant format.
The new .docx format is much more economical of drive space than the old, but one can't count on everyone having offy 07, so I always save as the old .doc by default anyway. The configuration dialog is easier to get around in too, it's easier to cut out all the annoyances right away--and it doesn't seem to revert some of them half the time like Word2003 does.

At work we upgraded to Office 2007 about 6 months ago. I still don't like it, I would prefer to still be using Office 2003. I don't like the menus all that much, I preferred the ones in Office 2003, I could navigate much quicker using keystrokes.
On my home computer I'm using OpenOffice (3.1) and prefer it over MS Office 2007.
I didn't like Vista until I started using it on my home computer. I really like it now, and can't wait to do the upgrade to Windows 7.

You can use keystrokes very handily in the 2007 menus. I got a big kick out of it when I tried it out, all the cute little hints.
I'm going to have Vista any day now, and I'm sure that I will be comfortable in it within two weeks. I'm that mean. *snerk*

I love Office 2007. Best money I've spent on software in awhile. Tons of things it does that I adore, and I even really like Vista.

I hate Vista so much I could swallow my own head.
A complete turnaround. When I got this laptop I liked it, but the damn thing is so fuggin' slow now, after ten months.
Also, compared to my XP netbook...well, there is no comparison.
I love, love, love, Office 2007 though.
