I don't mean to be redundant, honest. (I posted this same thread in Bewares.) However, I wonder if anyone might be able to help me.

Anyone ever heard of Numenorean films, based out of Studio City, CA? I think it's either a small production house, agency, or management. Got a tiny hit off of www.inktip.com (http://www.inktip.com/), and now they're asking to see my screenplay. It's run by a Cary Solomon. She, and or, he, has some writing and producing credits (mostly straight to video fair) on www.imdb.com (http://www.imdb.com/).

Again, any and all information, would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I don't know, but I'll be very interested in any answers you receive, for reasons which may be obvious. :D

Thought I'd do a quick check on them since I live next to Studio City. I googled the company name and came up with their music/film website. No mention of films on the website, just selling some soundtracks. I mapquested their address - it is within a mile of where I live - and it's in a complex (Coffee Bean, Western Bagels, Baja Fresh, etc.) where they could have a small office. In their listings they say they have a website www.numenoreanfilms.com but it doesn't exist - only the music site.

Looking at Cary Solomon's imdb I see he/she is a writer/producer. Personally, I don't send scripts to other writers - I should think if they are any good, they have enough of their ideas. But that's just me.

I finally got a little more curious and called their phone number. Being Sunday and a holiday weekend and the fact that I was calling a business I was expecting a voice mail "Hi you've reached..." but instead a guy answered and said "Chuck here."

I suggest you give Chuck a call and see what's up with them. They could be super nice people and maybe they have some investors and want to shoot some movies. Who knows? Might as well suss it out straight from the horse's mouth.

 Thanks a bunch Cheshire for doing all that! You're awesome! Truly, awesome!

I will call them. (Maybe, you could help me with that? I sent you an email recently.) I too, am wary about giving my screenplay to another writer. They've asked for it via email. So... who knows!

Derek, I'll let you know how this progresses. I've been burned before, and certainly don't want a repeat of that unfortunate incident.

Again, thank you Cheshire.
