My remarks were not, as you characterize them, attacks on our fellow members, of whom I know nothing beyond the tidbits of daily doings. As to the common bond we share, they may be innocently following their dreams, wherever those dreams lead, but as an adult, one who has formed opinions about what's worth reading and writing, I make personal judgments, for what their worth, as I'm sure you do, not with the expectation they will be admired or cheered, but that they will be noted. And if there is a glimmer of awareness, a spark of interest in what makes a writer a writer and not a hack of popularity, there may also be the willingness to change, to chart a new course toward a higher level of literacy, of lasting value, of doing what Faulkner called "putting a scratch on the wall" before crossing over.

Yeah...

These type of droll ramblings belong in PM's. And looking down your nose at anyone and everyone who doesn't follow your philosophy on writing isn't a hack, IMO.

Uh huh.

Randy, I'm not sure what this is about, but I reckon I can puzzle through it from your post history. Do please let me direct you to the Newbie Guide (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66315).

This isn't the kind of thread that typically ends well for new members who feel like being snotty to or calling out the forum moderator.
