Help. Does anyone know away to save a document in text edit on mac as a word program and open it on a pc without losing formatting? I'm pretty sure any electronic submissions I try are having this issue. It opens okay either way, but the paragraphs etc. are gone. Does anyone know of a patch or update? I'm sure the screwy formatting is not impressive to an editor.
The only other thing I can think is save it to a flash, take it to the library, use their software and load it from there. But I don't know how that will work either. :Hammer:

Do you have a "save as RTF" (Rich Text Format) option?

Depending on which version of TextEdit you have, you can save it as an MSWord file. Use Save As to save the file as MSWord 2007, 2003, or 1997.

I would save is as MS Word 97, and be sure that you name the file with the .doc extension.

I have saved it both rtf and word. It opens okay in another program-I tried it on a borrowed PC, but the formatting is wiped out. No paragraphs or page numbers, just a big blob of text. The text edit version of 1.3. I don't know if there is a newer one for my aging machine or not.
