Just a quick question:
Does anybody else here use Posterous for marketing their articles? I am getting ready to place a post about it later today. I have been using it for a month and have seen decent return on article views as well as traffic.
Just curious if anybody else had experience with the system.
Thanks

Nope, never heard of it. Might need to go look at it.

I went ahead and posted it on my blog. Just so nobody here thinks I am spamming, it is completely free to use...no strings attached.
The gist of it is that you can place one email and post your articles, blog posts or whatever to your Facebook, Twitter, Wordpress, Flikr, YouTube and other accounts. When you tie it into an email you can access from a mobile device you can do the same thing. Saves a few minutes out of the day on promoting your work. Just wanted to share.

I haven't tried any automated service for my articles. I only link to articles that are either rev sharing or of interest to my followers. But I do try to make it look "unspammy" by adding a note or headline that is unique to the URL so it doesn't look like a spambot posted it.
I really wish I could see detailed stats for Examiner.com

Huh. Posterous looks interesting. I like being able to email to a blog. I've been thinking about setting up a more personal blog to tie into my writing. I'm just not sure about the name. Makes me think of ridiculous hind ends. (I never thought of what the root word of preposterous was before!)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had the thought "I don't think I can use a service called Posterous."

I wonder if it's supposed to be "Poster" - "ous" , because it posts for you? I wonder what their focus groups had to say about the name...

I'm sure that's what they were aiming for. It doesn't keep me from thinking of giant rearends when I type up the name.
However the service seems to work pretty well. I did several posts this weekend that were really easy. I like being able to blog and twitter at the same time.
