Advice, please:

I would like to query a literary agency. I have the name of an agent, thus empowering me to create the oh-so-important personalized query letter. The agency's Web site, however, encourages sumissions be sent simply to "Submissions, Literary Agency, etc." If I follow that good advice, how do I personalize my query?

This is me, not wanting to compromise my chances by a poor show from the start.

You could always refer to the agency's sales as a whole, rather than just one agent's. Or you could refer to the sales of the particular agent whose name you have in the query, but still address the query to 'Submissions'
