Is that even a word? lol

Anyway, I'll admit as a newbie I have done a lot of rewriting on my query letter and have finally come up with one that sounds professional but I sent out quite a few that really sucked, if I do say so myself. :) Is is inappropriate to send it out again to the same agents (several months later) when you've already queried them and they said no...and I mean ones that were straight query letters, no partials.

I'm not sure if I would really do this so it's kind of a hypothetical question...

Even though agents get a lot of queries, at least a few would probably remember your query and turn your rewritten one down whether it is intriguing or not. Why not find agents that you haven't submitted to yet? If you look hard enough, you'll find them .

Better yet, while you are sending this new query out to different agents, finish another book, writer another dynamite query letter, and THEN you can submit this new book to the agents you sent the first submission to. I would personally stay away from re-submitting the same novel that's already been passed on and submit a new work instead. But definitely send that re-worked query out to different agents while you work on the next book.
