Did anybody attend the awards ceremony at last night's Shriekfest? They were supposed to announce the winners of their screenplay competition, which I had a script entered in. I'm in Southern IN and was unable to attend (the fest is in California) so I have no idea what the outcome was.
And, since Shriekfest hasn't updated its website to show the winner yet, and since I haven't received any phone calls or emails yet, I'm fairly certain my script didn't win. Still, I've got to know something because the anticipation is pure, bloody hell!:Smack:

Disregard. Just got an email from the founder of Shriekfest and she informed that my script didn't win (felt good though when she told me it was really close and mine was right up there).
Ah, well. There's always next year.:)

was it a full length script? i do not know much abotu Shriekfest, but from the title, I assume it revolves around horror screenplays? I would be very interested in reading yours if you would be so kind as to post it (or maybe email it)

Yep, it was feature-length. And yes, Shriekfest is a horror/thriller/sci-fi/fantasy film fest and screenplay competition.
I won't post the script here (it'd be breaking the "ten page maximum" posting limit by far lol) but I don't mind letting folks take a look at it. Hell, it's copyrighted, no big whoop.

Hey Boo, is it absolutely scary? As in something NOT to read when youre home alone, and its only you and your monitor. If you think it will scare the pants off me, send it. Im always up for a good scare.

You may be disappointed, WF. It's not "jump out and grab you" scary; it's more about tension, dread, build up. But, I'd be happy to let you give it a read. I'll email it to the both of you when I get home from work this afternoon.
