newbie with a "scriptblaster.com" ?

Hello, everyone. My name is Brian Hill. I just signed up to this site today in hopes of getting some more info on how to get my screenplay in the right hands. (I'll be posting the 1st 10 pgs. of my script "Stuck in Nostalgia" shortly) I've sent out some e-queries and queries through the snail mail...but with no luck. I was doing some research and came across a web service called ScriptBlaster.com (a service where they say they can get your queries/scripts in the hands of producers, agents, etc...) Does anyone know if services like these are worth the money or is it a sham? any other selling tips would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

1) Make certain your logline will attract attention/reads from prodcos/agents/managers

2) Make even more certain that your script delivers on the promise of your logline.

How many scripts have you written?
What type of feedback have you received?

i agree. don't waste your money, time, and efforts of marketing until you know your stuff is ready. how will you know? knowledgeable people will tell you.
btw - these people are NOT your family and friends ....unless they're in the business.

have had some luck with services like scriptblaster.

I know over at donedeal people seem to think it's all right.

You've got to have a great logline though and a concept that stands on it's own.

That's the first thing that is going to catch someone's eye and make them ask for the script.

Secondly, as has been stated, your scripts got to deliver. Not only the story that matches your logline but a really great, interesting, producable movie.

I've only written one screenplay. "Stuck in Nostalgia" is a complete rewrite of a screenplay titled "Present Nostalgia" I re-wrote it after attending screenwriting workshops and reading "The Screenwriter's Bible".

ok - you're not ready to market yet. so don't bother with scriptblaster or any other service.

in addition to what you've already done (the Bible and classes) i suggest you read, read, and read produced scripts. it's an absolute necessity. then start writing another script too.
