I posted a thread here with a similar caption to this earlier today stating that I couldn't find Jerethal's posts in a couple of other threads even though they were shown as having been posted.

Someone else responded to my post and said he found the same thing.
Now I cannot find either my original post :Shrug: or the response.

What is going on?

Same experience here. This morning, Jerethal's name was the last on several threads, but no posts from him/her. I "searched" for his/her page and none were listed there. Later today all the posts appeared. It was as if they were in limbo for a few hours.

Bufty, I never saw your question nor the answer to it. What's up here?

I've wondered about this before because the same thing has happened to me. I see a new post in a thread by JERETHAL, so I go into the thread, but there's no post there. (cue twilight zone music...)

My own above referred to posts don't even appear in my personal record of posts!

Bufty, I had answered your question in your reputation comments, then deleted the thread.

Sigh. This happens every time, so I guess I'll give up.

There is a feature here called "Global Ignore."

I have used it for two reasons: One, when I think someone bears watching early on; two, when I think (or know) someone will just keep coming back and back under different usernames if I ban him/her. If the person turns out not to be a jerk, I can take him/her off ignore.

I'm banning Jerethal, so this is a moot point. But if you notice this in the future, please don't start threads about it. It kills the whole point... and now we get to deal with this person coming back under other usernames.
