Glad to "hear" you again. Scary thing to have happen, ain't it? Don't worry; I have it on good authority that the two of us are going to live forever. God nor the devil want us on their turf, so we're going to be left here. :)

I saw your new "listing" on ScriptLinks this morning. Cool. I don't know about you but I'm becoming a real believer in web pages for writers, in spite of all the harvesters, crawlers and, especially, the crazies out there. One woman wrote last week saying she couldn't decide if she wanted me or Billy Graham to write her life's story. I opted for Graham.

(Start) take care of yourself from now on. Okay?

What's the URL of this scriptlinks thing? Never heard of it and I haven't posted anything there...

It's under opportunities, not the forum

Eerk. Their 'showcase' page (www.members.shaw.ca/any-word/showcase.htm) (http://www.members.shaw.ca/any-word/showcase.htm)) lists 'The Source' - an Australian site whose URL I won't give here.

While I won't go so far to say that 'The Source' is a fraud & a scam, the Australian Writer's Guild has basically said it. (Well, they advised 'extreme caution' which is the polite term for the same thing.)

This site has been running a screenwriting competition for a few years, but every year the winner has been someone totally uncontactable. No interviews. No evidence that they or their script ever existed. They even stopped printing the names of the finalists who had won money in their very generous competition.

Mr Jacobs used to also run an Internet florist and 'martial arts tourism' business from the same PO Box as his screenwriting competition/site.

This doesn't bode well for their diligence in providing good information ...

Good book on their BG, Joe. The FBI couldn't have done a better job so quickly. Well done. Nothing to add.
