2006 writing challenge.

This thread is so quiet and it shouldn't be. So come on all you short story writers who are literary/contemporary/mainstream writers. This is a challenge!

Pick one American or Canadian literary journal. (Go look in the Short Story Writing thread for the sticky Emeraldcite has made with several market lists of such journals.)

Make sure it's one with an annual short story competition. Write a literary or mainstream/contemporary story for it.
You don't have to pay up and enter the comp but you must have the story finished and out to market by Dec 31st 2006.

It's partly my fault, I think, this particular board is so quiet. I had to step down from mod-dom for a while, but I'm going to go into the lion's den and beg to be let back in. *s*
