Logline: (one-paragraph description): Conviction, a satirical, original sequel to Jane Austen's timeless classic Pride and Prejudice, reveals the romantic destiny of Georgiana Darcy. Yet the author does not rest on the laurels of Austen; she introduces an entirely new cast of characters, including an ambitious soldier, a wistful vicar, a flirtatious abolitionist, and an ordinary curate. The fates of these characters intertwine as each struggles to find the conviction to live out his or her own calling, while confronting issues of loyalty, courage, faith, and love. Conviction is not a novel merely for fans of Pride and Prejudice, but for all who take part in the ordinary struggles of humanity.

The first edition of Conviction is now out of print, although some stock is still available. A new edition, with an additional final chapter, a revised epilogue, and other minor changes will likely be published later this year.

The second edition is in production. The cover has been designed, and I hope to see it published by Christmas!

The 2nd edition has been published and is now available at Amazon.com and other online retailers. (I've edited my original post by adding the new details.) The publisher hopes to get it on the shelves of some small bookstores as well.

Several months ago, I was interviewed for a documentary about the continuation of literary sequels. I'm not sure whether the documentary will make it to the air or not, as I have not heard from the director, but it was originally intended for Book TV.
