When I try to post here, many of the tools don't work. Copying and pasting is unstable at best. I'm not sure why this is, but since I use the Firefox web browser, that was my first thought. I also use the Linux operating system so I can't make a comparison with Internet Explorer. Does anyone else here use Firefox? If so, have you encountered similar problems? Thanks! :)

I use Firefox 1.5 on a Windows XP Home edition. Pasting works fine, except that I can’t copy/paste my password, presumably because of special characters. However, pasting in replies and other form fields is no problem. I have noticed the inability to paste password bug on several other sites as well.

Which "tools" are having a major malfunction?

What mode are you using for your posts? If you click on the User CP link in the bar at the top of the AW pages, and click on "Edit Options" in the column on the left, and look at the bottom of the Options page, there's a Message Editor Interface option under Miscellaneous Options. I have mine set to "Standard Editor - Extra Formatting Controls" and I think it made some things easier for me. I'm using Netscape but FireFox is similar.

Oh yes, I'm also using "Guided Mode" in the Standard Editor--it's a choice that comes up right above the box where you type your post in.

I'm here via Firefox and have only minor pasting problems, with extra blank spaces between paragraphs in anything I've copied from Word. (Same problem when I use Internet Explorer, BTW.) However, I'm on Windows XP Home rather than Linux, so perhaps that's a part of the incompatability.
