I finished a play (as stated in an earlier post) and I think it fits in perfectly with what is successful in London and surrounding areas. I am still going to seek an agent in the States, however, I am wondering about getting an agent in London. I looked at several sites and have noticed that some do not accept writers outside of the UK but only handle foreign rights or transfers.
In theory....would a US agent be able to market my play to a UK audience, producer, theatre, etc?
Can someone in the US sign with a UK agent or producer? And is this going to be a marriage that could harm further development of my scripts in the states?
In general I write screenplays for A US market but wrote a dark play that I have been told is the type of thing that is loved in London.
