I say it's Womens' (womens' basketball - basketball with lots of women) but I'm baffled and it seems that most of the headline articles say Women's.
"Women's" is correct for the possessive of "women." "Women" is a plural not ending in "s."

Women's. "Women" is already plural, so "womens" doesn't make sense no matter what.

...all I can say in my defense is that my brain must have shut down at about 9:00 last night. It was a long Monday. Of course women is already plural...sigh.
