Ok here it is, I finish writing up a description for this great reality type show I came up with and i know 100% its a winner ( yeah yeah i know we all say that) Anyway I have been reading up on the format of screenplays and tv sitcoms but i can find much on the format for a reality series. So what, if anything, else do i need to include to get it even looked at?

Can someone help out of how I should have it set up before i send it in?
I wrote up the description and all the details of what i think should be in the show.

After that who do I send it to? Do i send it to an angent for them to send out?
Do I send it to a producer? Do I send it to the Network? Any suggestions?

Thanks alot,

A friend of mine produces reality shows and I know another person in the reality biz that was asking for product. Personally, I don't write reality. As far as a treatment goes, I would write it up the same way I would pitch it verbally - then tweak it.

Like anything else you want to sell, you need to have the set-up and premise. What the show is about, where it takes place, the conflict, etc. And even though it's reality, you still need to describe the "characters."

You can email it to me if you want, and I'll let you know if it's as good as you think it is. And if it is, I'll tell you who my friend is and I'll pass it on.

Don't forget to register it with the WGA.
