I got a request for a full

from Southern Literary Group. This is for the sci-fi novel I finshed a couple-three weeks ago. I feel great. I thought I'd post it here since I've put stuff about my new project.

I'm editing this to tell you I also got a request for a partial from Baker's Mark this morning.

Just when you wonder if the pool is tapped, you get a bite.

It feels really good!

Southern Literary Group was probably not a good bet for selling a book. I'm not sure what sales they may have had in the past, but I don't think it's much.

On the GOOD NEWS is that I sold the book in question to a small press not even twenty miles from my home in Oklahoma City. I sent the manuscript as far as London, and it gets published by a company nearly in my neighborhood.

I don't have the contract yet, but I've had an e-mail conversation with the publisher and editor.

My second book an erotic paranormal thriller is being looked at now by Greyhaus Literary--at least he requested three chapters and a synopsis a week ago, and he should have gotten the manuscript by Thursday or Friday last.
