Or should they be in Office Party?
Ah well. Let me try here first.
The links show better detail than the images.
This first is Hiei and Kurama from Yuu Yuu Hakusho, in Prismacolor:

Same subjects, this time in watercolor crayon (which I don't think I'll be using again), 3H pencil, and Gelly Roll:

BTW---no more recycled paper sketchbooks for me.

Again, thanks!
I've been sketching a lot of manga-style characters lately, all from YYH.

If you're looking for art critique, I'd suggest some on-line art galleries--DeviantArt is almost too big to be useful these days, but it's still pretty much the big dog, and there's a big anime community there that might be able to offer specific critique on the style.

Deviant Art is good--moving on to Epilogue when you can get in--they get a lot of traffic

Thanks---but I don't think DeviantArt is for me; I can barely handle my LiveJournal! ;)

Very nice artwork. Do you stick to anime/manga, or do you venture beyond that into other styles?

ALSO very nice. I very much like the little girl blowing bubbles. It's such an ordinary scene, but it feels like there's something else beneath it. I like it. :)

Sankyuu again---if it 'feels' like there's something else beneath it, it is due to the genius of Vickrey, whose work it was modeled on.

good job, sailor!! Very nice. YOu might want to take these to http://messageboard.tokyopop.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=9 TokyoPop's forums. There are artists there who will basically shred your drawings like I shred others' stories on SYW. So what are you planning on doing with your pictures? Are you going to write a manga?

*madly flipping through Japanese (I think?)-English dictionary* Hee, I don't mind the anime, but I don't watch it cuz I don't really see the point of it. And when I first watched it (which I think was somwhere...maybe in the 1990's?), I found it badly written and put together. Sorry if I offended u!

I used to be an exhibiting artist---now I just draw for fun, and consider LJ to be my little personal gallery space. If people like the drawings, that's a plus.
I'm not at all offended---I just stand in polar opposite to what you saw in YYH.
With the exception of the last saga YYH is one of the all-time best-written, best-produced anime. It's actually about something, as opposed to mindless running around, and battles that have no meaning.

Oh, whew, for a moment there I thought I might have angered u. :o My friends tell me I tend to be insulting wthout knowing it, so it's hard for me to see that I'm offending people without meaning it.

Well, I didn't really watch the whole episode, but I got bored really quick :e2zzz: and just flipped to another channel so I guess I can't really criticize it yet :e2zipped: . I'm also not sure which episode it was  , but it kept switching scenes madly and character's that I got confused and didn't really get it (Which I meant when I said I saw it had no point. I guess I mean I saw no point in me watching it when I don't get it.) So again, I'm really sorry. :o

Iie, iie, your taste is your taste. No need to apologize.
We just got the first four eps on DVD (previously we only had it on video, in English). Watching it in Japanese made me fall in love with the series all over again.
