This sort of thing makes me so mad! A Monsey Butcher (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/07/nyregion/07chicken.html?ex=1157860800&en=12a6fd6ab5277af9&ei=5087%0A) was passing off Treif chickens as kosher.

Why do they always quote the silliest people?

I must say though, it is a rather big shock. A person that eats strictly Kosher put a certain amount of faith in others when they buy food. Imagine if you found out your favourite chinese restaurant was using cat meat and not pork to make the eggrolls... I think you would be pretty upset too and if a reporter stuck a microphone in your face you may say something pretty ridiculous too.
