I possibly have a financier for one of my scripts (I'll believe it when I see money in the bank). In the event funding actually comes through, I want to make sure the script is pretty tight. It won an award at WorldFest Houston, but if this thing gets produced, I'd like to polish it up some. Anyone interested in providing feedback on a whole feature? I thought I saw somewhere in this forum where you could post such requests but I can't seem to find it now.

My idea is to post it in PDF format on my personal website then provide a link. I know it's asking a lot -- it will take some time to read an entire script -- but I'd appreciate any comments from the great people on this board.

I wanted to send it to Bart Gold, which I still might do, but I'm short on time and cash (guess if the funds show up, we should probably spare the relatively inexpensive $135 to ensure a quality product).

Thanks for any interest.

What's the log line?

I ask only because there are some things I'm not interested/qualified enough to comment on.

First of all: Congrats!!!!!!!!!!! :hooray:

I hope it goes through for you.

Second, post your logline and synopsis. It will help draw the right sorts of people. Like if it's erotica, I'd be the last type of person you'd want to read it, and such.

"The Bracelet"

It's a romantic comedy, so most dudes probably won't dig it.

LOGLINE

A famous Hollywood actress, widowed and nearing the end of her child-bearing years, gets help from a mysterious bracelet as she decides whether to try artificial insemination to conceive the baby she's always wanted.

Still working on this as you can probably tell.

Definitely NOT erotica, Icerose.

I'll probably look at your script if I have the time, but not because of that logline! :)

I'm pretty unimpressed with it myself. Like I said, I'm working on it. Trust me, the screenplay is much better than the logline.

Last time I heard that it was about a gold mine in Atlantis. :D

If you've got interest in your script – and if someone is willing to finance it and get it into production – who cares what the logline is? Who cares what people on this board think (no offense to anyone here)? I'm assuming the "producers" already think highly of the script, right? Have they suggested any changes? If not, leave the script alone; believe me, the changes will come when a director gets attached. You want the people actually making your movie to be the ones offering suggestions for a rewrite.

You make a good point. I'm sure I'll have to make changes for the money folks, so maybe I should just leave it alone until they tell me the changes they want.

Getting this far is all new to me so I guess it's trial by fire.

Pretty much what you're getting now?

In all seriousness, I wonder how committed or financially viable these producers are?

I'm skeptical of everything until I see $$ in the bank. I'm not totally inexperienced, the wife has done some producing. It's just the first time the production includes one of my scripts.
