View Full Version : Just for fun -- sexiest alien

ChunkyC

In response to a comment made in the ALIENS thread, I thought it might be good for a laugh to see which alien / fantasy race character from TV or the movies folks thought was the sexiest. Human hybrids allowed.

Note -- this list is completely arbitrary.

If only Spook looked in on this form once in awhile, I'm sure she would be absolutely livid that "Legolas, Lord of the Rings" is not a nominee in this category.

Having a particular fondness for redheads, I vote for Doctor Beverly Crusher.

Oh, wait. She isn't an alien, is she?

Damn.

Okay...How about Lwaxana Troi? I really enjoyed her various escapades with her Betazoid mating rituals. heh heh heh ;)

Legolas, hands down.

It's not just the gorgeous body and sweet face, but he also has that rich voice and sexy accent.

Mind you, I've had a crush on Legolas since I was 12 years old just from reading the books, and Orlando Bloom in the role sealed it for me!

I feel bad that no one chose Frodo. I liked Frodo a whole lot, and I've always been a fan of Elijah Wood. But "sexy" is just not the term I would use for Frodo.

Now Samwise facing down that loathsome spider, that was kinda sexy.

Elrond did nothing for me, though, sorry. That is just nowhere close to how I envisioned Elrond, though I did like the hair.

:wha I know, I'm weird. But I find arrogant, dangerous, powerful fantasy/SF characters to be kinda hot! Maybe for the same reason, I also like Oberon from Disney's Gargoyles. Pant pant :b

I think Hasselhof is a pretty good singer (though not suited for American Pop. . .). But I still think his singing is proof of his alien origins. :ack

I also love Duncan for highlander. Again long black hair.

In the star trek universe well I'm all for picard. I love that british accent. But then he's not an alien. Data would come in second for his sense of humour.

A two-year-old thread was resurrected why?Possibly because Sokal just ran across it? We do, now and then, have newcomers to the forum, and they have the right to comment on them regardless of the age of the thread.

Come to think of it, there are some juicy threads back there on the dusty early pages. Some are actually fun reading.

Cheers.

Um, most of these characters aren't aliens...Doesn't the term 'alien' depend on what country you're from? If the movie is filmed in Hollywood and stars Patrick Stewart and Marina Sirtis, or if the TV show is filmed in Vancouver, BC, and stars Richard Dean Anderson or David Duchovny . . .

What? You mean non-humans? Oh, then never mind.

Evaine
09-09-2006, 12:48 AM
Spock first, and then Worf. I loved his comments (to Wesley) about Klingon courtship rituals - something along the lines of "Men write poetry. Women scream and (pant) throw heavy objects...." At which point Wesley is obviously too young to know more.

Higgins
09-09-2006, 01:01 AM
Um, most of these characters aren't aliens...

But it can be puzzling. For example, Monica Belluci her role in Matrix Rev is a person pretending to be a virtual reality machine construct of a person as I understand it.

Or to put it another way: the one thing we are sure of is that she is very different from the Protangonists. She's not living in a bathtub on a rack "in reality"....though in real reality, she's just an actress pretending not to be living in a bathtub on a rack...but no matter how you cut it, she's not living in a bathtub on a rack. So in the context of Matrix Rev, she is not even remotely human since most of mankind lives "really" in bathtubs on racks.

Ordinary_Guy
09-09-2006, 01:13 AM
The magic of casting (so to speak)...

Somebody mentioned Monica Belluci as Persephone in The Matrix. She was sexy... although a human-imitating construct.

T'Pol and 7-0f-9 were mentioned too. Those are no brainers... They would have my vote, too.

I'm going to get obscure, though: Romana I (Mary Tamm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Tamm)) from Doctor Who (of the late 70's era) in close running with Leela (Louise Jameson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louise_Jameson)), also from Doctor Who...

Pthom
09-09-2006, 01:21 AM
Um...Leela was hot, all right, but not a true alien (as Veinglory would define one):
--from Wikipedia
Leela (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leela_%28Doctor_Who%29)is a fictional character played by Louise Jameson in the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who. She was a warrior of the savage Sevateem tribe, who were the descendants of the crew of an Earth ship that crash landed on an unnamed planet somewhere in the far future. The name of her tribe, "Sevateem", was a corruption of "survey team".So she may have been born on a different planet, but she is still human, no?

I can't be the only person in the universe who's fallen completely in love with an alien from a book (rather than movie or a TV show), can I?

I know he's not to everyone's taste, but I find Doctor Tachyon from the Wild Cards series edited by George R.R.Martin to be dead sexy. When he's not depressed and drunk, anyway. But then I guess I have a thing for arrogant but brilliant telepaths with garish fashion sense who think nothing of crying in public when something truly heartbreaking happens to a complete innocent.

If we're going for alien characters from books, I'd have to put Honor Harrington on the list. She could order me to do just about anything, nudge nudge.

A couple of companions from Doctor Who have been mentioned already, but I'm going to plug the Doctor himself. I have a thing for at least five of his regenerations, but I'll narrow it down to just 2 of him (personal pronouns go all wierd around Time Lords!) here:

#8 (Paul McGann)
#9 (Chris Eccleston)

Yes, I know we only got to see McGann in the execrable Fox TV movie back in '96, but he's got an amazing voice and is still doing radio plays as the Doctor.

Evaine

Mmm, yes, liked Paul McGann (pity about the movie script).
Liked Chris Eccleston, too - the Manchester accent was a plus for me ("Lots of planets have a North!")
However - David Tennant (sigh!). He can do scary, and firm resolve in the face of unspeakable evil, and twinkly eyes and silly grins.... and he was a brilliant Casanova in the recent BBC series (Gosh, he was sexy!)
