One-way telephone conversation

Can someone tell me the best way to format a one-way telephone conversation - that is where only one side of the conversation is heard?

(I tried the search function but could not find anything
on the subject)

JOE BOB JOE TOM
She said the cow needs new milk.
Don't know what she means new milk
Got to get a new cow for new milk.

joe bob joe tom, picks at his teeth as he listens.

JOE BOB JOE TOM
medicine makes a new cow? how?

He pulls a piece of bacon from his teeth, smells it then swallows it and talks back into the phone.

JOE BOB JOE TOM
You're saying milk the cow - all out of milk
then give the cow medicine... milk it again
then throw that milk away, then milk it again
and that milk will be good?

He scratches his hairy stomach, listening, with a confused face.

JOE BOB JOE TOM
why dont' i just shoot the cow,
get some ribs, hamburger, hen milk
another cow? that's what i'm gonna
do. never gave no cow no medicine.

Hi how are ya?

John scratches his nose.

JOHN
I'm doing good.

John looks at the ceiling

JOHN
Not doing much now, and you?

John hangs up

bob jumps rope as he orders a pizza.

(he listens)
yes, you heard correctly, i'm having
two friends over.
(he listens)
yes, i said two friends.

He stops jump roping.

BOB
we are very hungry. Can you have that here in thrity
minutes or less?

we hear a dial tone

"we hear a dial tone" puzzled the heck out of me, will the theaters provide patrons with electronic equipment to facilitate this audible experience?

rascal, suggest you keep it short, there's nothing more boring than a one-sided telephone conversation. Unless it involves hot sex. vig can provide plenty of examples.
