The 7th Annual BlueCat Screenplay Competition is Now Accepting Entries of Feature Length Scripts

ABOUT THE COMPETITION
BlueCat’s sole mission is to find the great undiscovered screenplays and bring them to the attention of the film industry, while supporting and encouraging
all screenwriters with feedback on their work.

PRIZES
$5000 honorarium to the Winner.
A copy of the winning script and loglines of the finalists are forwarded to industry professionals and production companies. An interview of the winner and contact information of all the finalists will appear on the BlueCat website.

WINNERS
Winner will be announced July 15, 2005.
Up to 5 Finalists will be announced July 1, 2005.

In the event a winner and/or finalist is a woman, the High Falls Film Festival, which supports women behind the camera, has invited the screenplay to be read live as an event during the 2005 festival. $25 entry fee MAIL IN (if postmarked by March 1, 2005)

I edited this because also the web site is very sparse...be weary of someone taking your money.

Okay edited again...If the guy is the brother of Phillip Seymour Hoffman, why not just say that?

Thank you for your insights to my post :)

I'm not sure which website you are referring to but
IF it is High Falls Film Festival's it may be sparse b/c you are only looking at the webpage.

IF it is the BlueCat site - yes we are well aware and
actually launching a new site on or around Feb 1st, 2005.

I guarantee you don't have to be weary about this competition. The fee is reasonable compared to other competitions AND BlueCat offers written feedback on every entry, something not many competitions offer. Even if you don't win, you are still getting something for your money.

Yes "the guy" is Phillip's brother. However we are not trying to market the competition using Phillip as a spokesperson.
Great idea for next year!! Just kidding :)
