I have the bits and pieces of some research I once did whiole having an argumant on a yahoogroup. The overall point is that the cattle mutilation phenomenon is very consistent with rodent predation (sharp serrated cuts, focussed on soft organs etc). before I wrote up my notes I want to get an idea of good places to send it so I can tailor the tone snd lenth. I was thinking perhaps the Skeptical Enquirer. I like paces with a scientific tone but not full of irrational debunking.

I would also love to hear I anyone knows a good yahoogroup for the paranormal that includes both want-to-believers and skeptics.

My very first thought was an animal rights/animal welfare magazine -- but that was before I looked up just what "cattle mutilation" meant. :)

Maybe a mainstream/non-academic science magazine would be interested?

Also, here are some other skeptics' pubs I found online (haven't read any of them personally):

The Skeptic Magazine (http://www.skeptic.org.uk/) (UK): "the UK’s only regular magazine to take a skeptical look at pseudoscience and claims of the paranormal"

The Skeptic (http://www.skeptics.com.au/journal/journal.htm) (Au): "The Skeptic is a journal of fact and opinion, published four times per year by the Australian Skeptics Inc. Since the first issue was published in 1981, the Skeptic has printed articles on a vast variety of sceptical subjects ranging from alien abduction to zombies."

The Skeptic (http://www.skeptic.com/) (US): "Our mission is to serve as an educational tool for those seeking clarification and viewpoints on those controversial ideas and claims."
