I don't post here much--lurker--but I imagine it will be of some comfort to Dave if the people he knows on this board add their thoughts and prayers to that thread.
It's sobering. She's just... gone. Who can't identify with that?

Dave.
My family's thoughts and prayers are with you. Take all the time you need away from the forum for the hard soul searching and life rebuilding you have before you.
If and when you need to talk, vent or whatever, please come by, either public posts, PM or e-mail.
You have friends here. Sure, we can't hug or see you, but we are all friends of a sort nonetheless.

My God. That is nearly beyond comment.
dclary, if you read this know my heart goes out to you. I wish there were
magic words. I know there are not.
Stay strong.

Dave,
Life fleets, not yours.
Comfortable love is for those who understand one another.
The embrace, the lounging with a book on a chilly night.
We embrace you and you wife in this time of loss.
My family and I celebrate the life your wife led. Sad, yes. But honored all the same for her wonderful life. Thank you.

Gut wrenching.
She's still with you.
She's worried about you.
Hang in there.

I was driving home one day from across the state when the radio reported a car exactly like my wife's was totaled in a drunk driving incident in the middle of the day. The two kids in the car had my kids name and they were my kids age and it was all of two miles from my house. It was someone else, but the truth is these terrible things happen and there but for the grace of God go I.
My heart bleeds for you DC. There's probably nothing I can do, I know, but my heart still bleeds.

Read about a wonderful and respected woman in the Daily News today but didn't tie the names together. My deepest sympathy, Dave. You must carry on beyond the pain.
