Chapter Question

I did a search for this and couldn't find an answer to it. If it's been discussed before I apologize;

In my first novel I wrote the story in 5 parts with just short time breaks, no real chapter breaks. My current WIP lends itself much better to traditional chapters, however, I wasn't sure if, when starting a new chapter, I should start it on a new page or if I should just skip a space write "Chapter 2" and then continue with the story. Any help would be appreciated.

Every house, agent, and contest I've subbed to wants new chaptes to start on a new page.

Yes, I'd also go with a new page.

But really, until it's all finished and polished, this is mostly a cosmetic question. ;)
