I don't know if many of you know about Small Press Idol, but its a comic book competition put on by Dimestore Productions (http://www.dimestoreproductions.com/), with a mini-series deal being the grand prize.

My project is entitled "Pierced" - its a project I've been working on for quite a while. The story centers around small town gas station clerk Garth Percy - the bane of town's intrepid children, who are put off by Percy's impressive array of body piercings, creepy demeanor, and stingy manners. Soon, Percy becomes supernatually linked to shadowy imaginations of the town's children, his life taking terrifying twists and turns as he becomes the pulsing urban legend Pierced - a serial killer with a sundry assortment of tiny swords packed beneath his very skin. As these children begin to vanish one-by-one, Percy must solve the mystery in order to halt his transformation, or risk his life being completely eclipsed by the legend he's become.

You can view character designs, concepts and more here (http://www.dimestoreproductions.com/Pierced.html) on the project's Dimestore page. In order to vote, register (http://www.dimestoreproductions.com/component/option,com_comprofiler/task,registers/) for the forums and then reply YES to the thread here (http://www.dimestoreproductions.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,137/topic,2798.0/). Should you have any trouble registering, please contact Ian at Ian@dimestoreproductions.com (Ian@dimestoreproductions.com).

As always, comments, criticism and casting calls (see forum (http://www.dimestoreproductions.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,137/topic,2798.40/)) are welcome!

I've posted the first three pages of my comic "Pierced" at Dimestore Productions. You can see Emiliano Urich's great artwork - set to the pace of mine and Luke Perk's script - right here (http://www.dimestoreproductions.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,137/topic,2965.0/) by clicking on the Pierced logo.

Like last time, its a competition, so if you want to vote, just register (http://www.dimestoreproductions.com/component/option,com_comprofiler/task,registers/) and then vote YES to the message board topic Round 3: Pierced (http://www.dimestoreproductions.com/component/option,com_comprofiler/task,registers/).

All help is greatly appreciated!

Your project looks great, and I hope you go far with it. And I hope more AW comic fans check out the Dimestore site and vote too...

Thanks, AzBobby.

This project has been a labor of love for some time, so seeing it come alive before my eyes after so long is really exciting. I think, when it comes to comic book writing, that's really the best part - seeing the finished product, or at least the artwork. This project didn't just turn out good - it turned out better than I pictured it in my head. And that's saying something!

Like I said, votes, comments or criticism are welcome. We'll see what Sunday - the deadline - brings.

I think I missed the deadline...what happened? I think I am reading that you went on to round 3? Okay so you made it to 3 but not to 4 is how it looks to me. I sound like a dimwit but I'm still trying to work out the dimestore site...haha. It looks like there is some serious talent at this site.

I like your comic...looks and reads great.
