Questions on narrative style?

Has anyone ever used a 1st person narrative to start a prologue/chapter then go into 3rd person narrative for the rest of the story?

Yes, it's been done.

When you've read your local library you'll turn up plenty like that. I'm sure others will post titles before long.

Not sure if you read YA, but all of Ann Brashares' Traveling Pants books do this.

Oh, this is gonna drive me crazy. I very recently finished a book that does that exact thing, but I can't remember what it was. I'm sure tonight while trying to get to sleep it will come to me, then I'll drag myself out of bed and let you know.
