Well my work is now with two American publishers

I just wanted to share what was happening with my work, it is currently with two American publishers. I was just wondering if there is a difference between American and British publishers in how they operate etc. One good thing I suppose, they both took my ms by email so that saved some time anyway. Are they quicker at responding or slower or is it just the same as everywhere else? Which in your opinion is a harder market to get into. Im from Britain so I don't know much about how the American market really works, there is a larger population so obviousley there could be alot more people willing to read the book although because its so big a country maybe that would make it hard for your book to find fans. What do any of you think?

As far as I can tell each publisher is slightly different but nationality is not a big part of it. There are big British publishers with US/worldwide distribution and tiny American ones. But I am not exactly widely published, this is just from my research.
